Japan Waste Management Association visits econ industries

In November, a delegation from the Japan Waste Management Association visited econ industries in the context of a study tour regarding European waste management best practices.

The goal of the visit was to learn more about econ industries’ Zero Industrial Waste…! approach.

The delegation members were eager to learn about the zero industrial waste approach that focuses on the reuse of resources rather than the destruction of waste. They were especially interested to learn how incineration and landfilling of hazardous waste can be replaced through resources recovery using VacuDry® vacuum distillation.

The members of the Japan Waste Management Association explained that the industry in Japan as in many parts of the world is facing new challenges in the coming years with stricter emission regulations and higher standards for recycling quotas.

The members of the Japan Waste Management Association assured us that, due to the flexibility, low emissions, and high recycling quota, econ’s VacuDry® technology can play an important role in the treatment of hazardous industrial wastes in Japan, especially

  • Metal sludges, grinding swarfs and metal shavings
  • Mercury waste and mercury conversion/final disposal
  • Oily waste recycling

We want to thank the association for its visit and are looking forward to working on our first projects in Japan in the near future.

Let´s work together
