econ industries at Oil & Gas and Mining Exhibition in Indonesia!

econ industries, a global leader to showcase a State-of-the-art technology, in hazardous waste management, is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming Oil & Gas and Mining Exhibition. The event will take place from September 11th to 14th, 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Visitors can find econ industries at booth 6512, Hall C3, within the German Pavilion, where the company will be showcasing its cutting-edge VacuDry® technology and Mobile Mercury Conversion Unit.

The Oil & Gas and Mining industries generate vast quantities of hazardous waste each day. These wastes pose significant environmental challenges and can also represent lost revenue opportunities. econ industries is committed to address these issues by providing sustainable and reliable solutions to maximize resource recovery and minimize environmental impact.

VacuDry®

VacuDry® technology offers a sustainable and reliable approach to treating and recovering valuable resources from a wide range of hazardous wastes from oil and gas industry and mining industry, including:

  • Mercury waste
  • Contaminated soils and tailings
  • Oily waste (drill cuttings, tank bottom sludge’s, MARPOL sludge’s)
  • Spent catalysts and activated carbon

By utilizing vacuum distillation, VacuDry® efficiently separates and recovers valuable materials; by removing hydrocarbons and other contaminants and transforming waste into valuable resources, it reduces waste volume significantly, minimizing disposal costs.

Mobile Mercury Conversion Unit (MMCU)

Our MMCU 1 500 has already stabilized nearly 500 tons of elemtental mercury (Hg) to Mercury Sulphide (HgS). After stabilizing 500 tons of mercury from the chlor-alkali facilities, the HgS was finally safely disposed.

Furthermore, econ industries is excited to share more details about the new Mobile Mercury Conversion Unit 150 with our customers at the exhibition. Currently, econ is in the final stages of manufacturing a compact MMCU, designed to handle 200 kg batches of elemental mercury for a project in Australia. Similar units will be essential for Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region to stabilize elemental mercury locally. The Mobile Mercury Conversion Unit prevents the need for difficult, expensive and risky exports, providing a safe and efficient solution for mercury waste management on-site.

econ’s VacuDry® and MMCU technology not only reduce environmental impact but also generates significant cost savings for businesses.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our VacuDry® technology at the Jakarta International Expo,” said [Reinhard Schmidt, CEO, econ industries]. “This event provides us with a platform to connect with industry professionals and regulators to demonstrate how our solutions can help them achieve their sustainability goals while driving profitability.”

econ industries invite attendees to visit booth 6512, Hall C3, to learn more about VacuDry® technology and discuss specific project needs. The company’s experts will be on hand to provide in-depth information and answer questions. In addition, econ will visit further clients in Southeast Asia before and after the event.
