econ industries at IFAT Munich 2026: Where Industrial Waste Becomes Circular Value.

IFAT Munich is where the global waste management and resource recovery industry comes together. This year, econ industries is proud to present our full portfolio of industrial waste treatment solutions at Booth 251, Hall A4 – technologies that turn what others classify as disposal challenges into genuine circular value.

VacuDry® – enabling recycling where others see disposal

For decades, industries dealing with hazardous and complex waste streams have faced a binary choice: incinerate or landfill. econ industries was built on the conviction that there is a better way – one that recovers resources, reduces carbon footprint, and delivers economic value alongside environmental compliance. We will be showcasing exactly that at IFAT – with 20+ years of experience and 30+ facilities delivered!

What to expect at our booth

Discover the latest insights into econ’s complete portfolio of industrial waste treatment solutions, addressing a wide range of emerging challenges across the industry:

Decarbonisation & Circularity

With mandatory CO₂ costs for waste incineration on the horizon, the pressure on hazardous waste management is growing rapidly – but so are the opportunities. Our VacuDry® technology offers a concrete alternative: recovering resources instead of burning them, reducing emissions instead of offsetting them, and turning rising disposal costs into a business case for circularity.

Oily Waste Recycling

The combination of VacuDry® and centrifuges enables our clients to increase operational flexibility and facility throughput. We offer complete facility solutions in which both technologies share utilities – maximizing efficiency and reducing overall costs.

Mercury Waste Management

Mercury waste requires specialist handling – whether it’s present in oil sludge, contaminated soil, spent catalyst, or filter cake. For over 20 years, econ industries has been the leading provider of decentralised mercury waste management solutions. Our principle is straightforward: transport the solution, not the hazard. Local, on-site treatment technology eliminates transport risk and regulatory complexity – while delivering measurable cost savings.

PFAS Treatment

PFAS contamination is one of the most pressing regulatory and environmental challenges in industrial waste management today. Our advanced VacuDry® solution destroys forever chemicals responsibly and energy-efficiently – offering outstanding process flexibility, precise controllability, and industry-leading energy performance.

Metal Sludge Recovery

Metal-rich industrial sludges represent a significant and underutilised secondary raw material stream. Our recovery technologies close the loop – turning metal sludges into circular raw materials ready for re-entry into the supply chain.

Oily Mill Scale Treatment

The steel industry generates thousands of tons of Oily Mill Scale annually, with more produced every day. Some steel plants already have tens of thousands of tons stockpiled, from which 80 % are reusable. Here, CO₂ emissions and controlled processing are critical considerations and this is precisely where VacuDry® delivers. An energy-efficient, robust, and fully controlled process that recovers valuable resources such as oil and metals with zero CO₂ emissions. The end of the Mill Scale Legacy Sites in Europe is near!

More than 20 years of innovation at econ industries

We are excited to share the latest project updates from our global activities, as well as some significant technological advancements. Standing still means falling behind, which is why we continuously refine our solutions to set the benchmark in industrial hazardous waste recycling.

Look forward to some special announcements around IFAT 2026:

  • Latest Mobile Mercury Conversion Unit: equipment delivery to Australia
  • Facility planning on expert level: Pre-treatment solutions integrated upstream of VacuDry®
  • New agreement for the supply of a VacuDry® system in Germany
  • Further advancements to the VacuDry® process and plant design: higher temperatures and larger batches leading to increased performance

Stay tuned for more updates as we head towards IFAT Munich 2026!
