AVA secures new order for pre-treatment technology for Biogas Plants

As a quick result of the IFAT Environment Exhibition in Munich AVA received an order for the engineering and delivery of pre-treatment technology for biogas-plants in eastern European countries. At the core of this technology is equipment for the homogenisation and sterilisation of the incoming waste.

AVA econ - essential parts for recycling plant for waste incinerator ashes delivered

The start-up period for the recycling plant for waste incinerator ashes in Magdeburg, East-Germany, is completed. AVA delivered the essential parts of the separating technology and our engineering team supported the design of the complete process.

AVA founded cooperation partnership in Abu Dhabi

Following the Environment 2005 Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi, AVA founded a cooperation partnership with a local service provider and engineering partner located in Abu Dhabi. Thus AVA enlarged their worldwide presence in the field of sophisticated treatment technologies for hazardous waste.

AVA involved in RESHMENT® technology

The authorities in charge have granted building permission for the first plant in Monthey. Following several years of conceptual work, the realization of this pioneering plant has been agreed. The investor for this project is the "Foundation Autorecycling Switzerland" (SARS).   The innovative process for treatment and recycling of Swiss Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) was developed by the Swiss company CTU - Conzepte Technik Umwelt AG (CTU) in cooperation with VOEST-ALPINE Industrieanlagen GmbH&Co. (VAI).   Since December 2004 AVA econ has also been an integral part of this project: the AVA Know-How of conditioning and treating numerous types of residues prior to the thermal treatment processes is an ideal precedent to optimizing the RESHMENT® technology.

AVA Sterile Waste Process prevents the risk of infections in Asia

The German Navy is part of the international help for the Tsunami victims in Asia, supporting the action with the "Berlin" transport and hospital vessel. On board the vessel an innovative system to reduce risks of infection and thus avoid the worldwide spreading of serious illnesses has been installed. As a part of this system, the sterilisation of the waste - especially the on-board wastewater and the kitchen-waste - is extremely important. The sterilisation is carried out using AVA machinery. The heating up of the input material using steam up to 133°C at 3 bar, held for a retention time of 1 hour, ensures the death of all dangerous germs.
