Sludge treatment facility for Austrian steel industry

Shortly before Christmas AVA won a contract for a sludge treatment facility from Austria's largest steel producing company. In the mixing plant the residues from varying waste water treatment processes will be recycled for reuse in the production process.

Kuwait chooses AVA econ Technology for the remediation of contaminated sites

On the 6th of May, 2006, Reinhard Schmidt, CEO of AVA econ and a Kuwait Oilservice Company signed a contract for delivering a system for cleaning oil and mercury contaminated soils and sludge. Both parties also agreed to establish a long-term cooperation in the region.The official signing ceremony took place in presence of Federal Minister of Economics, Mr. Michael Glos, during the German delegation journey to Kuwait and UAE.

AVA supplies treatment plant to the food industry

AVA econ will supply a treatment plant to the food industry for the handling of moist products such as potato starch derived from batch-wise working centrifuges. The main task of this package-unit will be the scarifying, homogenizing and dosing of the pasty and sticky product, which will be fed later to a continuously operating dryer. The complete system is designed in stainless steel according to food-grade quality standards and includes a Clean-In-Place (CIP) system.

Mobile AVA VacuDry Technology - designed for the remediation of sludges and soils contaminated with oil and mercury

AVA clients based in the petroleum exporting countries demand more and more technology with which to treat their waste and by-products. To meet this demand, and based on proven AVA VacuDry Technology, AVA has developed a mobile system for the treatment of sludge and soils contaminated with oil or mercury. Even oil-based wastes from tank cleaning and lagoons can be treat with this technology. Due to the significantly reduced number of plant items and a higher technical availability, the new mobile plant is much easier to handle than the well known old-fashioned rotary-kiln TDU´s. An additional benefit is the reduced energy consumption and emissions. Details of the new AVA VacuDry Mobile System are now available.
